Since its inception, the Sidrería Asador Arriaga (Cider House Grill) has wanted to offer the best charcoal grilled meat and fish, premium quality products that have become the specialty of the establishment. Outstanding is the large beef sirloin steak, charcoal grilled cod, or cod in all its varieties: vizcaína, pil-pil, ajoarriero, kokotxas rebozadas…, Bilbao style (ham, peppers and chillies), pil-pil (garlic and hot red peppers), ajoarriero (pepper and garlic), flour coated kokotxas... are all greatly appreciated by our diners.
And of course, before enjoying these dishes, different appetisers always popular with our customers, can be found on the menu, such as seasonal mixed vegetables, mixed salads ( Idiazabal cheese salad or cod salad are always very popular), grilled octopus or a dish of mixed appetisers (choice of rice blood-sausage, vegetable blood-sausage, chorizo cooked in cider and txistorra (small spicy Basque sausage) sautéed with tomatoes and peppers).
Our house speciality are the extraordinary piquillo peppers and asparagus, both from Lodosa, DO Navarra.
Finally, from our homemade desserts; traditional Basque pastries are memorable including, the Idiazabal cheesecake, the Ulzama-style curd and the Basque cake.
